The former attacking midfielder of Olympique de Marseille has been the subject of a new attack by supporters of Olympique Lyonnais.
On November 21, 2021, during the Olympic derby, OL-OM (0-0), Dimitri Payet (36) was the victim of a water bottle jet. An act which did not go unpunished by the Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League which recognized the responsibility of the Lyon club in this incident.
This tragedy had finally led to the installation of a net covering the North Bend of Groupama Stadium, now about to be removed, following an agreement reached between the supporters, the Rhone club and the Prefecture.
