Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos is preparing to sign for PSG. He had to make sacrifices to make this transfer happen.
Barring an improbable turnaround, Gonçalo Ramos will be PSG’s new centre-forward. For compensation of 65 million (plus 15 million bonus), he will leave Benfica Lisbon for the champion club of France.
It’s only the 9e PSG’s highest paid player
The Parisian leaders have invested a large sum to afford this recruit. On the other hand, they were not very generous in terms of the salary offered. The Lusitanian will “only” receive 5.5 million euros gross per year in the French capital. This is reported by the Tutto Mercato site.
In the Parisian hierarchy, Ramos will only be 9e highest paid player in the squad. Even Juan Bernat receives more than him with his 5.7 million per year. And there is even a Marseillais who is better paid, in this case Jordan Veretout (6.6 M€ gross).
Note that Ramos is still not to be pitied. Compared to what he received on the side of the Estadio De La Luz, he has just multiplied his salary by five. But, it is certain that if he had yielded to the sirens of the Premier League he would be in a much more enviable financial situation today.
