Dusan Vlahovic would rather stay at Juventus than join Chelsea in a swap deal for Romelu Lukaku.
The 23-year-old Juventus forward is believed to be Chelsea’s target. Rumors in Italy suggest the Serie A club are considering swapping the Serbia international for up-and-coming Blues striker Lukaku on a fee. However, The Gazzetta dello Sport claims the former Fiorentina star is happy to stay at the Old Lady. There Gazzetta dello Sport adds that Vlahovic, who would prefer to join Paris Saint-Germain in the event of departure, did not ask to be transferred, that he is aware and that he is not opposed to a new departure.
Vlahovic signed from Juventus for £58m, plus £8m in add-ons, in January 2022 with a reputation as one of Europe’s best young strikers.
A preference for PSG
However, he has only scored 23 goals in 63 appearances for Juventus – who, by the way, remain interested in Lukaku; but the arrival of the Belgian would depend on the departure of the Serb or an exchange with him.
If Vlahovic leaves Juventus, it won’t be cheap as his contract expires in the summer of 2026, the same year as Lukaku’s at Chelsea. The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Inter Milan after being deemed redundant at the Blues.
