Fifa has opened an investigation after a complaint in connection with the Women’s World Cup which is currently being played in the southern hemisphere.
Bruce Mwape is suspected of a ” inappropriate behavior »according to the terms of the investigation opened by the International Federation of Association Football (Fifa).
” We can confirm that a complaint has been received regarding the Zambia Women’s National Team and this is currently being investigated.”said a spokesperson for the Federation, quoted by The Guardian.
This source did not specify the nature of the complaint but several media mention a fact which would have occurred during training before the World Cup match, Zambia-Costa-Rica, played on August 31 (3-1) . Bruce Mwape allegedly touched the chest of one of his players.
The Zambian FA expressed surprise at the allegations and said all training sessions were filmed, including by a FIFA team, and they saw no evidence of any incidents.
Supposed facts of the same nature (sexual abuse) had been revealed last year in the African selection, still about Bruce Mwape, and had prompted the Zambian Federation to initiate investigations. We do not know the outcome of these investigations, for his part indicated Firstpost.
