Marseille president Pablo Longoria called on one of the pro staff to roll up his sleeves as soon as possible.

Olympique de Marseille has just completed its summer preparation phase. There are good things to remember from the four disputed friendly matches, but also from the less brilliant ones. Some players were particularly disappointed, showing themselves very far from their true level.

Longoria raises her voice!

Among the players in question is attacking midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi. The latter was even particularly transparent each time he was launched by Marcelino. A performance in line with that which he had shown at the end of last season, that is to say very worrying.

The Ukrainian international is now crystallizing criticism from supporters. Many even wonder if he has his place in this formation and if it is not better to release him before the transfer window closes. It would even be the question that the boss of the club, Pablo Longoria, feeds.

During Thursday’s press conference, on the sidelines of the presentation of the recruits, the Marseille president indeed seriously reprimanded his player, calling on him to pull himself together quickly or risk going out. “There are players who adapt to the devices and others who take time. Malinovskyi was perfect for Tudor but now we have to see what he can do with Marcelino.”he blurted out.

In official matches, Malinovskyi has already appeared 23 times with OM, including 16 as a starter. His decisive gestures are limited for the moment to two goals scored and an “assist” offered.
