Asked by PSG and Barca, Bernardo Silva seems on track to stay at Manchester City. At least, Pep Guardiola has no intention of parting with it.

Bernardo Silva has been playing for Manchester City for six years now. Arrived in 2017 from AS Monaco, the Portuguese international has become one of the best players in the world in his position. A priori, the native of Lisbon left to stay with the reigning English champion, even if Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona would like to poach him.

Asked about the 28-year-old left-hander’s club future, Pep Guardiola made it clear that he hoped to keep him in his squad. “I don’t want any player who doesn’t want to be here. But that’s just my opinion. We have not yet received a suitable offer (for Bernardo). If they want, they will take a plane and come to meet our club. Kyle and Bernardo, what can I say? They are so important to us. We want them and will do anything. We want them to stay. We will do everything. Replacing these two would be so difficult”said the Spanish technician this Friday, at a press conference.

The Lusitano’s market value is estimated at €80m. The Citizens are absolutely under no obligation to sell it. Potential buyers will therefore be forced to pay the (very) high price.
