FC Barcelona’s flagship recruit this summer, İlkay Gündoğan (32) was recently introduced to Camp Nou. The German midfielder has decided to join the Catalan club, despite many contract offers around the world. While he has already made his debut under the Blaugrana colours, the ex-Cityzen, victim of a little pain in his left ankle, has still not been registered in La Liga.
According to Spanish League regulations, the former Borussia Dortmund player’s contract could be terminated if the situation is still the same once the championship begins on August 12. Thus, he would have a month to commit elsewhere. According TV3, the German background which was to activate a new lever at Barça would have even decided to withdraw its offer, which complicates things even more. The departure of Ousmane Dembélé to PSG should however fix things according to ASbut Barça must not miss it.
