With its recruits Ludovic Blas and Enzo Le Fée, Stade Rennais largely won 5-0 on the ground of Nottingham Forest (which escaped to the Premier League last season), Wednesday evening. Two penalties from Benjamin Bourigeaud allowed Bruno Genesio’s Rouge et Noir to lead in the first half, before goals from Matthis Abline, Lovro Majer and Amine Gouiri in the second.

AS Monaco, with a goal from Youssouf Fofana at the start of the match, did not lose against Arsenal (1-1) but did not win the Emirates Cup, the Gunners winning the penalty shootout in front of their audience.
FC Lorient dominated FC Nantes (3-1), thanks to goals from Bamba Dieng, Pablo Pagis and Darlin Yongwa, the Canaries saving the honor through Nathan Zeze.
