Transferred for just under €40m to AC Milan last summer, Charles De Ketelaere is coming out of a complicated first year in Italy. Despite his 40 appearances in all competitions with the Lombards, the young Belgian attacking midfielder has never found the net and seems to be pushed out by the Italian club. Despite his disappointing performances, the 22-year-old enjoys strong overseas ratings. Lately, Olympique de Marseille has expressed interest in the former player of FC Bruges. While the Marseille club has already completed several reinforcements during the summer transfer window, its president Pablo Longoria is still waiting for new blood.

However, the competition is fierce in this case because Sports Stadium relays this Wednesday that Real Sociedad has invited itself into the dance to recruit Charles De Ketelaere. The Spanish club, qualified for the next Champions League, is working like its French counterpart to strengthen its attacking sector. The Spanish outlet add that the Basques are hoping to secure the Brugge native’s loan. However, Milan is more open to a sale and expects at least 30M€ to open the door.
