Former Lille Nicolas Pépé is about to take up a new challenge in an exotic championship.

Arsenal’s historic flop, Nicolas Pépé, is about to change clubs for good. Its future seems to take shape on the side of Turkey.

Pepe is no longer popular in the best championships

The Ivory Coast winger, who has been with the Gunners since 2019 when he arrived from Lille for a club-record €80million, is on a losing streak in London. He is not in manager Mikel Arteta’s plans and the club are looking to sell him as soon as possible.

According to the Evening Standard daily, the Ivorian is close to signing up with Besiktas, who think they can relaunch him. The Istanbulites have already welcomed Croatian Ante Rebic into their squad, who was also in trouble at AC Milan.

Pépé was on loan at Nice last season, but did not shine enough to earn a permanent transfer to Les Aiglons. His career has been on a downward trajectory since signing for the Gunners under manager Unai Emery. An exile in the Super Lig emerges as an interesting option and a real opportunity for a rebound for the person concerned.
