Perhaps they thought their coming to London would be successful. Bayern Munich boss Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe (the club’s two new strongmen since the sackings of Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic) have joined England in the hope of sealing the transfer of ‘Harry Kane. They come back with bitterness and the feeling that they will never succeed.

Levy not letting go of £100m target
