Eleven days before their resumption in Ligue 1 (August 12 against Lorient), PSG lost (2-1) to Inter Milan during their Asian tour.

This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain faced Inter Milan, in Japan, in a warm-up match. After a draw against Al Nassr (0-0) and a defeat against Cerezo Osaka (2-3), the capital club was beaten (2-1) by Inter Milan.

For this meeting, Luis Enrique had chosen to put Marco Verratti and Hugo Ekitike on the bench. Once again aligned in the position of false number 9, Marco Asensio saw his recovery with the left foot being diverted by Filip Stankovi (8th). Alone at the penalty spot, the Spaniard then found the post (15th).

Overall, the capital club had a satisfactory first period, monopolizing the ball, but without materializing their domination with a goal.

Two goals conceded in three minutes

PSG started the second half without having made the slightest change at the break. Shortly after the hour mark, Vitinha tried his luck 30 yards from goal, after being served by Soler. His powerful strike ended its race in the skylight of the goalkeeper internist (64th).

The Italian club then decided to intensify their pressing. After a Parisian loss of the ball, Inter went all the way up the field and Esposito deceived Donnarumma with a cross shot (81st). Almost immediately, Sensi again beat the transalpine goalkeeper with a shot from the left at the near post (83rd).

This is PSG’s second consecutive defeat in a friendly match. Luis Enrique’s men will try to reassure themselves on Thursday in South Korea against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC. This will be their last pre-season meeting before the first official match of the 2023-2024 financial year, on December 12 at the Parc des Princes.
