Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani has given the reasons for his transfer to Argentinian club Boca Juniors.
After the termination of his contract in Valencia at the end of July, Edinson Cavani made the decision to join the ranks of Boca Juniors. A career choice on which the former Paris Saint-Germain striker spoke, who thus said goodbye to Europe after sixteen years spent in the Old Continent.

“I am happy for many reasons. Boca is the biggest club in South America and one of the biggest in the world. Arriving at a club like this always motivates you. There was always contact and a chance to come back”thus entrusted the Uruguayan passed by Palermo, Naples and Manchester United.
“It’s an emotion to enter a number that the historic players of the club have used. It’s nice to wear the number that the idols of the club wore. The number isn’t going to stop me from doing anything, it’s not going to make me play more or less. But it is a responsibility to take care of it, to defend it and to bring it to the top”, added The Matador who will inherit the number 10 worn by former club legends: Diego Maradona and Juan Román Riquelme.
