Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has started negotiations to sign the best player in the world, Kylian Mbappé.
That’s according to Duncan Castles of The Daily Record, who reported on Sunday that Chelsea have entered into negotiations with PSG to sign Mbappé.
Boehly conducted direct negotiations with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. According to Castles, Chelsea would offer PSG a cash offer plus a player, without it being known exactly which players would be affected by the exchange.
It remains to be seen whether Mbappé is interested in the idea of joining Chelsea, as he refused to negotiate with Al Hilal last week.
The Saudi club have accepted a €300m offer from PSG but it is widely believed that Mbappé is keen to join Real Madrid. Indeed, the player prefers to join Madrid on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of next season.
PSG want to sell Mbappé
PSG have put their goalscorer on the transfer list and are determined to sell the French superstar this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.
The French star was exiled by PSG, who excluded him from their summer tour of Japan and made him train with other players on the transfer list.
