Kiavash Joorabchian is an Iranian-born British businessman who is heavily involved in association football. He is 52 years old and he has been known to work on the circuit for more than two decades.
Very active on the English market
His main feats of arms, Joorabchian especially succeeded in the mid-2000s. It is he, for example, who is behind the surprising transfers of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to West Ham. At the time, it belonged to the Media Sports Investments group.
Joorabchian then continued to work with Tevez, playing a key role in his transfers to both Manchester clubs. He then remained established in City, serving in particular as an intermediary when Robinho came to the club in 2008.
In recent years, he has taken a step back from the world of transfers and has mainly worked as an advisor for English elite teams (Newcastle, Everton). With the Mbappé file, he therefore returns to the front of the stage, and with the objective certainly of closing a historic deal and able to satisfy the two clubs.
