Les Bleues coach Hervé Renard has made an important decision regarding his captain Wendie Renard.

The France team is playing its second match of the Women’s World Cup this Saturday (at 12 p.m.). After the draw against Jamaica (0-0), she will try to create the feat against Brazil.

Wendie Renard replaced by Maëlle Lakrar

For this mission, the Habs will not be able to count on their captain Wendie Renard. Touched in a calf during the first match, she did not resume training until Thursday and was deemed too fair to start entering against the Auriverde. Hervé Renard took no risk with her and bet on Maëlle Lakrar to replace her in the axis.

Lakrar will be partnered with De Almeida. The latter was rather reassuring on the occasion of her debut on the international scene.

Wendie Renard is not the only Frenchwoman to have to miss this crucial match. This is also the case of Naomie Feller. Hit in the thigh, the attacker is not even on the bench.

The defection of Feller is less problematic than that of her teammate, because she is not one of the usual starters. The attack of the Blue, arranged in 4-4-2, should again be composed of Diani and Le Sommer.

The eleven of the France team against Brazil:

Peyraud-Magnin; Lakrar, De Almeida, Cascarino, Karchoui; Mateo, Geyoro, Toletti, Majri; Diani, LeSommer.
