While his departure this summer is strongly desired by his management, Mattéo Guendouzi wants to continue one more season at OM.
Pushed out by Olympique de Marseille, Matteo Guendouzi does not, however, nurture any desire to leave. According to the indiscretions of The Teamthe tricolor midfielder would even consider playing a third season with the Marseille club.
The vice-world champion would count on the pre-season preparation to convince his new coach, Marcelino, who would rather favor the duo Geoffrey Kondogbia – Jordan Veretout within the Marseille midfield.
Add to that the wish of the club’s president, Pablo Longoria, to cut back on this area of play. A transfer from Guendouzi is therefore still the preferred option for the management of Ciel et Blanc.
Indeed, even if it has not yet been the subject of a concrete offer, the former Gunner, under contract until June 2025, however enjoys a certain rating on the transfer market with an estimated value of 25 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
