Paris Saint-Germain are determined to sell Kylian Mbappé this summer and recently placed the 24-year-old on the transfer list following his decision not to sign a new contract.
Mbappé’s current contract expires next summer and PSG don’t want to lose their star for free. That’s why he put it up for sale.
Real Madrid are the favorites to sign Mbappe, although they will have competition from Liverpool, according to The Mirror. The Premier League giants have started negotiations with PSG over a possible deal for the France international.
Interestingly, Liverpool are only offering the Bondynois a loan deal which would allow him to join the banks of the Mersey for the 2023-24 season. This would allow PSG to generate funds, while also opening the door for Mbappé to join Real Madrid next summer.
It would be very surprising if PSG accepted this proposal from Liverpool. A loan would not generate enough funds from their point of view, especially since the asking price for a sale is over 200 million euros.
