5th in the last edition of the Premier League, Liverpool is no longer the ogre it was a while ago. The fault with the departure of Sadio Mané perhaps, but also and above all with an aging workforce, which had to be rejuvenated. With the arrivals of Alexis MacAllister, Dominik Szoboszlai and why not Roméo Lavia, the Reds are starting their transition nicely.

On the bench, Jürgen Klopp is no longer young. After 8 years at the club, the German was singled out last season. In an interview with Matthias Hielscher, the coach considers the future: “I have a contract with Liverpool until 2026 and I want to fulfill it and then take a year off. It might be the end, but who knows how I’ll feel after a year? That’s why I leave the door open. I would love to travel, not just be pushed in a wheelchair or walk with a cane. I can watch football from anywhere. That’s why I won’t do the job forever.” Honest words from Jürgen Klopp, who does not want to force his destiny as a coach. For the moment focused on his own goals, the former Borussia Dortmund tactician is surely living his last seasons on the banks of the Mersey.
