While Les Bleues were leading 2-1 against Brazil on Saturday in their second World Cup match, Selma Bacha conceded a fault in the dying seconds.

And this fact of the game had the effect of triggering the anger of coach Hervé Renard, for whom the referee should have signaled the end of the meeting.

It should be noted, however, that Renard’s anger was directed at the referee, Australian Katherine Margaret Jacewicz. According to the coach of Les Bleues, this one should have whistled the end of the match, even though the minimum additional time indicated by the fourth referee (7 minutes) had not been completely elapsed.

And the reaction of the tricolor tactician was vehement, he who sprung from his sideline, shouting himself hoarse while trying to challenge the central referee and pointing to his watch several times.

In the process, the Brazilian staff also reacted, he who seemed to attack the former coach of Saudi Arabia, the latter collecting a yellow card in passing…

After conceding a disappointing draw against Jamaica (0-0) for their entry into the 2023 World Cup, the French team therefore responded by beating Brazil (2-1) this Saturday.
