Within his new Saudi club Al Ahli, the Algerian Riyad Mahrez should be trained by a young German coach.
Riyad Mahrez joined his new formation Al Ahli this week. The formalization of his transfer from Manchester City should take place very quickly.
Julien Stephan will not coach Mahrez
Within his new club, the Algerian international will not have a head coach at first since Pitso Mosimane has not yet been replaced. But, here too, it is only a matter of time. The Saudis are busy on this file and a technician should be appointed in the coming days.
Many renowned coaches were expected to land in Jeddah, such as Luciano Spalletti, Marco Silva or Julien Stéphan. Finally, it is a rather unknown coach who should be chosen for this responsibility. This is the German Matthias Jaissle. This is revealed by Fabrizio Romano.
Matthias Jaissle as Red Bull Salzburg coach:

✅64 wins
🟰18 draws

Jaissle is only two years older than Mahrez (35). His only notable experience so far is limited to RB Salzburg. He stayed there for two years and won two Austrian championship titles. In his country, he is considered a great coach in the making and is often compared to Julian Nagelsmann.
In addition to Mahrez, Jaissle will have under his management other players who passed through Europe, such as Edouard Mendy, Roberto Firmino or Allan Saint-Maximin.
