PSG: Marco Verratti has not left yet…

Marco Verratti is ready to pack his bags, tired of the Parisian shocks he is used to after 11 years of living together. Al-Hilal offers him a 3-year contract, at 50 M€ per season, making him the highest paid Italian player in history. Enough to convince him. But he is not the only decision-maker, far from it.

If the PSG opened, for the first time, the door to a departure of its 30-year-old midfielder, it does not intend to give a gift. And Al-Hilal’s offer of €30 million is considered insufficient. Problem, as reported by The Parisian, the Saudi club does not seem willing to significantly increase its offer. Bonuses possibly, but nothing more.

Luis Enrique wants to keep him

At this price, the club of the capital could thus not yield. Especially since, second major argument, Luis Enrique confides in private that he wishes to keep the Little Owl, of which he thinks the greatest good. He who advocates a possession game can not decently think that it will be better without Verratti. He also may have noticed during the first two friendlies that the Italian’s technical touch remained essential.

Marco Verratti is therefore still far from having left the Parisian club, and if his leaders do not retain him beyond measure, he can see that Luis Enrique appreciates him enormously. It remains to be seen how the Parisian midfielder will be composed, which is still too large in number (Paredes, Wijnaldum, Renato Sanches, Fabian Ruiz, Danilo, Ugarte, Vitinha, Ndour, Soler, Zaire-Emery).
