Since the arrival of John Textor at the helm, Olympique Lyonnais has been going through a very turbulent period.

If Olympique Lyonnais must compete in creativity to try to strengthen this summer after being rejected by the DNCG, the Rhone club is continuing its major behind-the-scenes maneuvers to overhaul its organization chart. Several cases reflect this permanent unrest behind the scenes at OL, such as that of the Brazilian Claudio Caçapa.

Considered a club legend, the former central defender, who was part of the team crowned champion of France for the first time in 2002, returned to the OL landscape as Laurent Blanc’s assistant. But the arrival of John Textor hastened his departure to Bofatogo, the American businessman’s galaxy club, which wanted to replace Luis Castro at the head of the Brazilian team.

Textor’s sudden decisions…

Claudio Caçapa then returned to Lyon, but he did not stay there for long. John Textor made the decision to “transfer” the Brazilian once again, this time to Belgium. Caçapa was indeed chosen to become coach of RWD Molenbeek following the dismissal of Vincent Euvrard. Promoted to the Pro League (the Belgian first division), this team also belongs to Textor’s portfolio.
