Kylian Mbappé’s departure to Saudi club Al Hilal is now less unlikely than it was a few hours ago.
PSG are ready to get rid of Kylian Mbappé this summer, in order to recover transfer compensation in return. For the moment, the only club to have concretely manifested itself to recruit the Bondynois genius is Al-Hilal. The Saudis have even pulled out all the stops with a sum of one billion (!) euros released for the realization of the deal.
Mbappé is no longer closed to a transfer to Saudi Arabia
The first echoes suggested that this move had no chance of succeeding since Mbappé’s dream is to sign for Real Madrid and nowhere else. Nevertheless, it would seem that the more time passes, the more the possibility of seeing the French international land in the Middle East for a one-year freelance is growing.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Mbappé’s family is seriously considering accepting the proposal made by Al-Hilal. She believes that the game is worth the candle and that it would always be better than staying a full season without playing. Moreover, this would not close the door to a commitment with Real since it will still be possible the following year.
If Mbappé’s parents are about to give in, the main interested party would be “undecided”. But it is already an evolution in his position since previously he was adamant that he would not go to Saudi Arabia. If he sees that his standoff with Paris is doomed to failure, he could therefore very well say yes to his Saudi courtiers. And that would be a real earthquake in the world of football.
