This 2023 summer transfer window is definitely very lively in the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain.

If the soap opera Mbappé has been fueling all the debates for several weeks, the 2018 world champion is not the only gondola head of Paris Saint-Germain to animate this transfer window period. In the ranks of the women’s section of the capital club, this off-season was marked by the departure of one of the team’s superstars, striker Kadidiatou Diani. The club’s top scorer last season, the French international, currently in Oceania for the Women’s World Cup, made the choice to leave free after her contract expired.

If the destination of Kadidiatou Diani was not yet known, the suspense was lifted on Tuesday. As announced by the daily newspapers Le Parisien and L’Equipe, the striker has chosen Olympique Lyonnais to open a new chapter in his career. A strong decision that does not suit Paris Saint-Germain since the Rhone club is its main competitor at the national level for the title of champion.

A reinforced PSG competitor!

At the age of 28, Kadidiatou Diani was convinced by the OL project, which has asserted its hegemony over women’s football in France and Europe for many years. The prospect of joining many teammates from the national team also weighed in the balance. The striker will sign a 4-year contract with the Rhone club. “If it’s official, I’m happy, she’s one of the best French attackers, we know what she can bring us. It’s more for us”enthused Amel Majri.

Like Kylian Mbappé, Diani had joined PSG in 2017. And like the French world champion, she had been the best player and top scorer in her championship last season.
