Olympique de Marseille will face Panathinaikos or Dnipro in the third preliminary round of the Champions League.

Olympique de Marseille is fixed! The Phocaeans know their opponents for the 3rd preliminary round of the Champions League, the draw of which was carried out this Monday noon.

Marcelino’s men will face the winner of the confrontation between Dnipro, the second in the last Ukrainian championship, and Panathinaikos, the second in the last Greek championship. The first leg will take place on August 8 or 9, while the return match is already scheduled for August 15 at the Stade Vélodrome. Dnipro and Panathinaikos meet on Tuesday in Kosice (Slovakia) before the return match a week later in Greece.

OM hope to qualify for the play-off round, where the Olympians could cross paths with PSV Eindhoven, Rangers or even Braga, the most dangerous potential opponents on paper.
