The Brazilian midfielder, Fabinho, will know very soon if he will be able to land in Saudi Arabia with his pets.

Al-Ittihad chairman Anmar Al Haily is in England today to complete the signing of Liverpool midfielder Fabinho.

Fabinho on stand-by

Saudi media have raised doubts over the €45m deal due to the Brazil international’s two French bulldogs. It is said that certain dogs are only allowed to enter Saudi Arabia if they are used for hunting, serve as guard dogs or are guide dogs.

Fabinho does not want to sign for Al-Ittihad because he is waiting for “clarifications” and possibly an exemption allowing him to settle in Saudi soil with his family and his dogs.

Al Haily landed in London to move the case forward, all parties agreeing on the terms, but this issue remains to be resolved in order to ratify the deal.
