Once angry, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona are now ready to discuss the transfer of Kylian Mbappé.
The hatchet is buried between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona. The two clubs have been rivals on the transfer market for several seasons, and have had heated discussions about certain transfers which could not take place (Verratti, Marquinhos…). The pinnacle was reached in 2017, when PSG poached Neymar, against all odds, causing some amazement within the Catalan club.
But everything is better, all of a sudden. While Paris Saint-Germain is upset by the soap opera Kylian Mbappé, the capital club is ready to discuss with Barça for a possible transfer of the Bondynois. Better, according to L’Equipe, a telephone meeting is scheduled for Monday afternoon between the leaders of the two clubs to discuss the subject.
In a huge financial mess, Barça will not be able to sign a big check like the one offered by Al-Hilal (300 million euros). The only solution to consider a transfer would be to exchange players, but the Blaugranas will have to be generous to offer names that would appeal to PSG.
While Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Tottenham have also come forward, PSG are no doubt using Barça’s interest to show Mbappé that they are very serious in their desire to transfer him, if the 2018 world champion does not extend his contract. PSG’s plan is clear: prevent Mbappé from signing for Real Madrid in 2024 at all costs.
