Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique is close to signing a deal with a talent that once belonged to his former club. Goalkeeper Arnau Tenas is said to be on the verge of signing with the Parisians.

According Report, Tenas is close to signing for PSG. He left FC Barcelona this summer, after his contract expired and FC Barcelona missed the deadline to extend it. The 22-year-old was in talks with FC Barcelona to return to Camp Nou, but negotiations broke down.

Tenas cut his teeth at La Masia and captained Barca Atletic last season, which partly explains ‘Lucho”s interest in him. Tenas understands Luis Enrique’s desired goalkeeping style in terms of setback play and foot usage, which was a priority for the Asturian when in charge of Spain.

With Keylor Navas set to leave and Sergio Rico unavailable as he recovers from his traumatic brain injury, Tenas would arrive as Gianluigi Donnarumma’s understudy, where he could continue to develop. It’s also worth noting that Luis Enrique has the same agent as Tenas.

FC Barcelona have been criticized for their lack of insight into the Tenas case, trying to get him back to the club at a lower rate than agreed if he extended his contract. When we see how much it is appreciated on the market, we can only have regrets.
