FC Barcelona intends to finance its recruitment by making a sacrifice.
FC Barcelona have enjoyed a successful transfer spell so far, with the signings of Ilkay Gundogan, Inigo Martinez and Oriol Romeu, as well as signing a deal for Vitor Roque to join next year.
Xavi Hernandez wants to further strengthen his team. In particular, he hopes to sign a new right-back and a creative midfielder. However, given the financial difficulties of the team, it will be difficult to integrate either at this stage.
As a result, MD reported that Barcelona intend to fund these two signings by making a big sale. Only once this sale is made can they pursue their other two targets.
So the question arises as to who this big sale might be. Several big names from FC Barcelona have been mentioned, such as Frenkie De Jong and Raphinha, but there aren’t many, if any, that Xavi would like to sell who could fetch a big buck.
Xavi’s situation will certainly change in the coming weeks, but for now FC Barcelona are focused on sales, rather than finishing their shopping list.
