Stade de Reims has loaned a defender from Manchester City, winner of the 2023 Champions League.
His name may not have imprinted the memory of the general public but Josh Wilson-Esbrand won the Champions League a few weeks ago. The 20-year-old English left-back played two group matches last season in the Manchester City jersey, against Copenhagen and Sevilla FC.
The Stade de Reims is therefore quite proud to welcome a European champion this summer, as the Ligue 1 club indicated in a press release on Sunday. Josh Wilson-Esbrand has signed up for a season in the form of a loan, following that granted to Coventry City from January 2023.
