Small victory for the English

For its entry into the running in the 2023 World Cup, England dominated Haiti on the smallest of margins (1-0).

The favorites continue to take their first steps in this 2023 World Cup. After Australia’s victory and the controlled success of the United States against Vietnam (3-0), England settled for the bare minimum against Haiti (1-0).

The reigning European champions dominated the meeting, but they only made the difference on a penalty converted by Georgia Stanway (29th sp). It then took a few saves from goalkeeper Mary Earps to save the score.

The Three Lionesses will next face Denmark and China.
