OM fall against a Belgian club

OM Marcelino version lost against a Belgian club on Saturday in their second warm-up match.

OM supporters will now know KAS Eupen. The modest Belgian D1 club, fifteenth out of eighteen last season, beat the Provençal club on Saturday on the lawn of the Sportanlage Klosterpforte stadium in Harsewinkel (Germany).

The players coached by the German Florian Kohfeldt won 1-0, on a goal from midfielder Brandon Baiye in the 12th minute. The Marseille defeat comes a week after a success obtained against Nîmes (National), 2-0, during the first warm-up match of the summer.

The pole for Aubameyang

Marcelino, the new OM coach, once again carried out a major squad review by almost fielding a different team at the start of each period. The Spanish technician was able to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at work.

The Gabonese striker, the latest Olympian recruit, came on in the second half and found the opposing amounts in added time.

OM will play next Thursday against the Dutch side RKC Waalwijk, to conclude the camp.

OM (1st period):

Lopez – Clauss, Nyakossi, Balerdi, Soglo – Rongier (cap.), Guendouzi – Ounahi, Gueye, Ünder – Vitinha.

OM (2nd period):

Ngapandouetnbu – Negouai, Gigot (cap) Touré, Soglo (Nadir, 66th) – Veretout, Kondogbia – Ünder (Mughe, 66th), Malinovskyi, Harit – Aubameyang.
