Former Real Madrid player and coach Bernd Schuster believes that Kylian Mbappé should join Casa Blanca this summer and not wait for the end of his contract with PSG.
“Real need Mbappé”
The French striker has been summoned by the Ile-de-France management to extend his contract or else accept a sale this summer to allow the club to receive financial compensation. For Schuster, the Bondynois should run and change air from the current transfer window.
Schuster said in an interview with BILD: “The disappointment at PSG is growing. He’s wasting his golden age there. He has to leave PSG now”.
The German technician thinks he knows what is best for Mbappé, but it is above all the interest of his former club that worries him. He doesn’t conceive the idea that Benzema doesn’t have a worthy replacement at the Bernabeu. “I can’t imagine Joselu becoming Real Madrid’s main centre-forward,” he said. Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have always scored 30 or 40 goals per season over the last ten years, which is not the case with Joselu. That’s why I think Florentino Pérez will sign Mbappé this summer. Real Madrid still need a striker who guarantees them at least 30 goals”.
