At the helm of Fulham since 2021, Marco Silva is sparking with the London club! English D2 champion in 2022, his team had a more than decent season, finishing in tenth place in the Premier League standings with a total of 15 wins on the clock, less than ten units from qualifying places for Europe. For having largely fulfilled his objectives, namely to ensure the maintenance of the Cottagers, the Portuguese coach was nominated for the title of best coach in the English championship. Logically, the 46-year-old technician has drawn light to his skills, so much so that a club is willing to offer him a golden bridge to secure his services.
In effect, The Telegraph informs that Marco Silva is Al-Ahli’s new target. The resident is ready to make the Portuguese one of the highest paid coaches in the world. The Saudi club has drawn an initial offer of £40m (€46m) for a two-year contract. Note that Marco Silva, linked until June 2024 with Fulham, has a release clause amounting to £6m (around €7m). His future could be closely linked to that of his star striker, Aleksandr Mitrovic, much courted in Saudi Arabia. It remains to be seen whether the English management is ready to give up one of the strong men of the club over the last two seasons.
