Summer is hectic on the side of Aston Villa! The English club is currently having a thundering transfer window: a few days after signing Pau Torres from Villareal, the Villans have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of Moussa Diaby. If the arrival of the former Paris Saint-Germain player is imminent on the Birmingham side, Aston Villa wishes to continue its seduction operation in France.

THE DailyMail informs that Aston Villa is looking to recruit Jérémy Doku at all costs. The Belgian winger, who is done with repeated injuries, delivered a more than satisfactory second half of the season with Stade Rennais, scoring 7 goals and 4 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions. Considered as a plan B in the event of failure in the Moussa Diaby case, Aston Villa coach Unai Emery now wants to associate him with the Bayer Leverkusen striker on the front of his attack. If a first offer of £20m (or €23m) has already been refused by Rennes, the British tabloid adds that the English club is preparing a second proposal which this time would be around £25m (around €29m) to close the deal. It remains to be seen whether this will be enough to make the Rennes leaders bend.
