Alexis Sanchez will probably not make a second season in Marseille. His contract expired three weeks ago and he still hasn’t returned. The strong tendency is therefore towards a rupture, especially since the Marseille club has already found a replacement for him, in the person of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Alexis Sanchez replacing Suarez?
The future of the Chilean international could take shape on the other side of the Atlantic. According to the media Gaucha ZH, he would today have touches with Gremio Porto Alegre, the current third in the Brazilian championship.
There hasn’t been an offer sent to Sanchez yet, but it seems that those in charge of this club would be inclined to meet the player’s demands.
The Gremio recently separated from another great South American striker, in this case Luis Suarez. They saved his important salary and today they are ready to pass it on to Nino El Maravilha and gratify their public with another head of the gondola.
As a reminder, Marseille tried to retain Sanchez by submitting an extension offer to him. This included an increased salary, which was 4 million euros per season. But, Longoria and Ribalta never got an answer from the former Barcelona player.
