Friendly: Monaco takes its first victory

Monaco finally has a victory in this summer preparation.

After a draw against Union Saint-Gilloise (1-1) and a heavy setback against Cercle Bruges (3-0), AS Monaco won their first warm-up match on Wednesday evening.

The Monegasques got the better of Betis Sevilla at St-George’s Park, the English Clairefontaine (3-1), with a brace from Volland (56e67e) and a goal from Minamino (76e). Raul Garcia saved the honor of the Andalusians at the end of the match (82e).

ASM still has four friendly matches on the schedule between now and the resumption of the championship: against Leeds on July 22, Genoa a week later, Arsenal on August 2 and Bayern on August 7.
