One of the executives of the Madrid formation recognizes that the departure of Karim Benzema has left a great void within the team.
Real Madrid defender Eder Militao admits the players are saddened by Karim Benzema’s departure.
“Benzema? This is the best 9 in the world”
The former Madrid captain left for Al-Ittihad at the end of the previous season. He had been at the club since 2009. Inevitably, his absence is felt during this period of resumption of training.
“Benzema? Of course we are upset by his departure,” Militao said. “For me, he’s the best number nine in the world. But life goes on, now we have to structure ourselves again”.
Real is currently on a pre-season tour in the United States. And it has no true natural KB9 replacement within it. The only reinforcement bought in this position is the little known Joselu (ex Espanyol). The arrivals of Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé had been mentioned in the media, but today it is very unlikely that these players will land at the Bernabeu.
