Algerian international Islam Slimani has just refused a very interesting option for the rest of his career.
Islam Slimani, the top scorer in the history of the Algerian selection, had the opportunity to explore Brazilian football. A prospect that did not, however, thrill him too much.
Slimani attracted to Saudi Arabia
According to what the media La Gazette du Fennec reports, the former striker of Monaco, Lyon and Brest received a proposal from the Coritiba club (18e of the championship). But he pushed her away. “Super Slim” is not very seduced by this exotic destination.
Slimani also has an extension offer from Anderlecht, the Belgian club where he has played on loan for the past six months. The Mauves want to associate him with the former Niçois Kasper Dolberg. Having revived well in Brussels, the Fennec would not be against the idea of continuing with the RCSA. However, for the moment, he considers the salary conditions too low to re-enlist.
The other solution available to Slimani is exile in Saudi Arabia. At 35, he is looking for a last big contract.
