Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo has taken aim at the Italian league, which he believes he revived when he joined Juventus in 2018.

This Tuesday evening, Cristiano Ronaldo was not in the lace after being questioned about a possible return to Europe, on the sidelines of the defeat of Al-Nassr against Celta Vigo (0-5). The five-time Ballon d’Or was also categorical, before mentioning the influence generated by his arrival in the various championships which have welcomed him in recent years, in particular, Serie A.

“I knew it was going to happen because if you look at the Italian league, it was dead when I went there and then it got a facelift. Where Cristiano goes there is more interest, I knew it was going to be like that. I’m sure even more stars will come here next year.”assured the native of Funchal in front of the media.

As a reminder, the Portuguese international, passed by Manchester United and Real Madrid, had made the decision to join Juventus of Turin in July 2018, for a record amount of 117 million euros. Under the bianconero jersey, CR7 will have played 133 matches (101 goals) in the space of three seasons spent with the Old lady.
