Stade Rennais is preparing to let one of its strong men go to English club Aston Villa.

The English club Aston Villa currently have Rennes winger Jérémy Doku in their sights. The Rouge et Noir may fear the departure of their young player, because they cannot compete with the power of the English clubs.

Rennes dependent on the Diaby case

The information comes from the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, known to be well informed about the latest movements in Europe. However, he specifies that no offer has yet been made for a transfer.

Aston Villa have identified Doku as the alternative to Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby. The English are looking to recruit the international tricolor but the competition is fierce. The former Parisian is the target, among others, of the Saudi club Al Nassr and the Italian champion Naples.

Doku (21) has a contract with Rennes which runs until 2025. His market value is around 30 million euros according to the transfermarkt site.
