Two weeks ago, Nasser al-Khelaïfi took advantage of Luis Enrique’s presentation to the press to answer a question about Kylian Mbappé. The president of Paris Saint-Germain then made things clear. For him, there was no question of letting the striker go free at the end of his contract in June 2024. Either he agreed to extend, or he would be sold this summer. Since then, the situation has not changed and the two parties have maintained their positions. This Tuesday, however, could be an opportunity to move forward.
Back-to-school time struck Monday for PSG internationals. The day after this first gathering, the time for the first collective training with the players who had already resumed a week earlier came. According to The Team, this will be an opportunity for Nasser al-Khelaïfi to come and do a little squad review, and perhaps to have a word with Kylian Mbappé. The two men will surely have things to say to each other, but not sure that this is the time and place.

While he had indicated his desire to leave Paris for Real Madrid for months, Kylian Mbappé had changed his mind a few very short weeks before the effective end of his contract. Even if it no longer evokes the club merengue so clearly this time around, history may well be repeating itself. But with what final outcome? The question still remains.
