Once again, it is with the young people of its training center that PSG will replenish its coffers. After Nkunku, Diaby or other Nsoki a few years ago, it’s El Chadaille Bitshiabu’s turn to leave the capital club to join RB Leipzig. The central defender joins the German team, always fond of hopes about to hatch, in exchange for a check of between 15 and 20 M€. The information is now official.

“El Chadaille Bitshiabu has committed to RB Leipzig as part of a transfer. Trained at Paris Saint-Germain, the central defender will discover the German championship after 6 years with the Rouge et Bleu., reveals the press release from PSG. In the aftermath, Leipzig added: “The 18-year-old joins the Red Bulls from French champions Paris Saint-Germain on a long-term contract until 2028. With us he wears the number 5 shirt.” Earlier in June, the 18-year-old visited his new team’s facilities. An appointment that visibly convinced.

Minutes in Paris but irregular performances

Considered for several years as one of the main hopes of PSG, El Chadaille Bitshiabu has had a little trouble asserting himself, despite playing time and a certain confidence granted by the staff of Christophe Galtier (he also had three match ends under Pochettino). Sometimes consistent, the one who also helped out on the left side especially experienced an ordeal in Monaco from which he struggled to recover.

Not really helped by the Parisian context either, the native of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges preferred to go to a club that gives more chances to young elements. Before him, other French central defenders before him managed to reveal themselves in Leipzig like Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konaté. They are now part of the France group of Didier Deschamps. The giant (1m96) Bitshiabu hopes to follow the same path.
