Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang seems very close to committing to OM. For the Marseille club, it will be a bet. Too risky ?
All the lights seem to be green for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Olympique de Marseille during this transfer window. Chelsea are reportedly not planning to claim transfer compensation for the Gabonese striker and may even terminate his contract in the coming hours.
The native of Laval would have already agreed with the Marseille club for a three-year contract. Last season, Aubameyang saw his playing time melt like snow in the sun with the Blues, especially after the World Cup in Qatar. The striker had not even been registered by the English club on the list of players likely to participate in the final phase of the Champions League. Since the end of last January, he has played only four matches for Chelsea. Enough to leave some OM supporters doubtful about his state of form.
🤔 I don’t know how some supporters are choosy about Aubameyang. XXL recruitment for OM. pic.twitter.com/emBwk66KhG

Now 34, the former Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal player has the opportunity to relaunch his career by playing much more regularly in Marseille. Although he didn’t fly out for Chelsea’s US tour, Aubameyang is still training with the Blues for the time being.
