While most European clubs have resumed the season with several friendly matches, the summer transfer window continues to punctuate the days of football fans. West Ham notably made the headlines with the transfer of Declan Rice to the side of Arsenal for 120 million euros. And the Hammers have not finished since the leaders of the English club have targeted Joao Palhinha to succeed the English midfielder.
Thanks to the money raised after the transfer of Declan Rice, West Ham can afford to splurge. Especially since Fulham want to get 100 million euros for their Portuguese player. Nevertheless, the Hammers are hoping to snatch Palhinha from Craven Cottage for much less than that and are considering lining up around £40m according to the latest reports from the English press. The leaders of the two English clubs are also in talks to move this file forward.
