Cristiano Ronaldo will be followed at Al-Nassr by other big names in European football, with the Saudi Pro League set to lift their transfer ban.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr on a free transfer in January following the termination of his contract with Manchester United, becoming the highest-paid player in the world at 200 million euros a year.

Despite Ronaldo’s 14 goals in 16 appearances, Al-Nassr could only finish second to Al-Ittihad last season, and the club were expected to spend big this summer.

Al-Nassr managed to sign Marcelo Brozovic for 18 million euros at the beginning of July, but was then banned from signing new players due to a debt to Leicester for the recruitment of Ahmed Musa in 2018.

Al-Nassr’s new owner, the PIF, should settle this matter in due course, and Brozovic should have company in the midfield.

The agreement with Fofana will be concluded “in the coming days”

The Al-Nassr club expects its recruitment ban to be lifted next week,” tweeted journalist Ben Jacobs. Leicester must confirm receipt of £390,000 for surcharges due in connection with Ahmed Musa deal”added Jacobs, transfer specialist.

“Al-Nassr hopes to finalize the signing of Lens captain Seko Fofana in the coming days. (The deal has been in place for some time.
