Sadio Mané has been warned by Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel that he is not an automatic starter at the club after an “unsatisfactory” season.
Sadio Mané had a difficult first season at Bayern after leaving Liverpool, with just 18 starts in the Bundesliga.
During that span, the Senegal international netted seven goals and provided five assists, but he made headlines for a clash with Leroy Sané, in which the Germany international reportedly received a punch from of the ex-Reds star, and Tuchel has now confirmed that he is not guaranteed to get minutes in Bavaria.
Last warning for Sadio Mané
On behalf of Bayern’s official website, Tuchel said: ” He had an unsatisfactory season and failed to live up to expectations. The competition is very strong in the position where I see him strongest, with Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry.
“We are very open and honest with each other, he is our player, he has a contract. We demand everything from him and he demands everything from us. The position of holder is not easy, time will tell more”.
Reports have suggested that Bayern may be willing to sell Mane this summer and that Al-Nassr are ready to take him to Saudi Arabia so he can link up with Cristiano Ronaldo. It remains to be seen whether the winger will be ready to join the Pro League.
