Bayern Munich have identified Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez as an alternative if the club fail to land Harry Kane this summer. PSG on the lookout.
Bayern Munich have already made two offers to Tottenham for Harry Kane and even met with club chairman Daniel Levy this week. Captaining the England squad remains their priority this summer, but if the deal doesn’t go through or if the striker joins Bayern when his contract with his current club expires in 2024, the Bundesliga champions have a plan B, which is to sign Julian Alvarez, on loan from Manchester City, according to Sky Sports.
Besides Alvarez, Bayern have also retained the names of Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus) and Niclas Fullkrug (Werder Bremen).
Alvarez enjoyed a memorable 2022-23 season in which he won the treble with City and the World Cup with Argentina. In his first season with City, the Argentine appeared in 49 matches in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists.
If Bayern Munich remain the favorites to sign Kane this summer, they will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who have entered the race to enlist him.
