OM: the strong sign of Marcelino

The new OM coach may have delivered an important clue about Mattéo Guendouzi.

He risks having people in the midfield this season at OM. Especially in the defensive sector. Valentin Rongier, Mattéo Guendouzi, Pape Gueye, Geoffrey Kondogbia or even Azzedine Ounahi and Bartug Elmaz are at Marcelino’s disposal.

The new Olympian coach gave the armband to Guendouzi on Saturday during the match against Nîmes, the first friendly test of the summer. The French international has been cited for a few weeks as likely to be sold.

But the decision of the Spanish coach, the successor to Igor Tudor, most likely means that Mattéo Guendouzi is well into Marcelino’s plans.

Note that the attacking duo lined up at the start against the Nîmes was made up of young Bilel Nadir and Ange Lago.
